Just after 7:30 PM on October 25th, Sharptown Fire Department, along with Mardela and Salisbury Fire Departments, was alerted for a report of a vehicle in the water near the Bridge Street bridge in Mardela.
Crews arrived to find a Ford F-150 submerged on the Route 50 side of the bridge. Mardela Fire Company launched their boat and conducted an initial search of the vehicle, finding no occupants. Salisbury Fire Department then deployed their boat with four divers on board (two divers from Sharptown and two from Salisbury). Divers confirmed that no one was inside the vehicle and remained on scene until Simpson’s Towing arrived to recover the truck using their rotator.
