Training on the Nanticoke for water emergencies

On Saturday May 6th, members of the Sharptown Fire Department conducted a training on underwater search and recovery in the Nanticoke River. Members were able to train and practice search and recovery patterns and surface support for our divers. Divers were able to experience first hand the how murky and dark our rivers are, along with how strong the current is once it is running. While the Divers were training on their search and recovery, other members had a chance to train on boat operation and surface support in Marine 14.
